Implications Post

The issue of health care reform is still being debated today. The bill for health care reform has taken its first step in progress by being passed in the House of Representatives. It is now being debated in the Senate to be passed down as a law. This is a good start for health reform. The health care system in the United States is too weak to be left alone. It needs proper reformation in order for people to acquire the medical care they need. When the Senate passes the bill, look to see that the government establishes a government public organization that will give medical insurance to those that cannot afford insurance from other insurance companies. Also, look forward to seeing private insurance companies money rates to drop to allow for more people to buy insurance. Health care reform will save the medical system in the United States and give people better hope in medical care.

Self Analysis

Health care reform is such an important as well as an interesting to topic in America. Throughout my research for my blogs, I have uncovered much useful information about the health care system and the current need for health reform. While doing these blogs, I have learned a great deal of the reform as well as creating arguments to help me support my views on this issue.
The current health reform has taught me many things about the health care in America. I have learned what it takes to make a bill that will promote health care reform. Also, I have learned that many people in the government have many different opinions on how to fix an issue especially between the Democrats and Republicans. This leads to problems in getting things done in the government. I have found a better understanding of society as I have gone through my blogs. I understand now how issues affect all types of people especially ones about health care since it relates to all people. Also, what I learned from my research is not all people involved with the government have the best interest for the people living in America. The private insurance companies spend millions of dollars to try to make sure health care reform does not happen because it would allow them to lose money in order for the reform to be established. Researching and finding this information about health care reform has changed my perception of society in the fact that issues in America can affect all types of people and that to have changed in a America takes much work.
While learning about health care reform, I have gained the ability to create and develop well thought out arguments that support my opinions on issues. In my blogs, I have stated that I do believe that health care reform needs to take place to provide insurance for those who cannot afford them. I have used the current facts about health reform in order to provide evidence for my opinion. Learning about healthcare has provided me with better skills as a writer and better understanding for how to develop an argument.

Theory post

The topic of health care has always been a constant issue in America. Because of the concerns in the health care system, people living in the United States have major problems regarding for themselves and their families. It is these concerns that have lead to a means for health care reform. Today, the government is trying to pass a bill that will provide more benefits for people that are in need of serious health care. The problem is that government has different opinions and ideas of how health care should be reformed in the United States. It is a constant battle between Democrats and Republicans on this issue. However, there are many ways that they can reach an agreement and create a bill that will provide change in health care.
The major issue with health reform is providing people with enough insurance so they can covered medically by hospitals. The bill that is being debated in Congress, states about the creation of a government sponsored public organization that will provide insurance to those who cannot get insurance from private insurance companies. Democrats believe that this plan is well but Republicans believe that this may take away money from private insurance companies which would hurt the economy. Also, Democrats want to take money from the private insurance companies in order to pay for the bill but the Republicans would rather use taxes. There has to be some way to satisfy both sides.
I believe that America needs the government sponsored organization to provide medical insurance to those who cannot afford it. This organization will not greatly affect those who can afford insurance. Also, when it comes to the bill’s cost, the government can spend half using taxes and the other half from the private insurance companies so that both sides are content. Health reform needs to happen as soon as possible so the government needs to settle their differences in order to get the bill passed.

How will the bill pass Senate?

Now that the bill has worked its way through the House of Representatives, it has to face its next challenge. The Senate. In order for it to pass through the Senate, many government officials such as Senator Pelosi, believe that the new reform bill will have to do some fine tuning in order for it to have any say in the Senate. The main area to focus on fixing may be the cost of the bill.
First many government officials believe that the cost is the main focus on the bill. The economy is in a deep recession and money is scarce for the United States at the present time. The 1 trillion dollars that the bill says is required to pay for the new reform bill will be heavily debated on in the Senate. Also, many officials, more specifically the Democrats, do not like the idea of using taxes to pay for the bill. They would rather that private insurance companies be made to pay for the bill since most believe they are to blame for the current healthcare system crisis. The Republicans believe that taxes would be a good way to establish money for the bill. This will allow the economy not to suffer in passing the bill. However, it will take money away from American people. The bill right now is at a neutral point with cost in that half is spent by insurance companies and the other half by taxes from the American people.
The cost for the healthcare reform bill is the main issue that may need to be tuned in order for the bill to pass through.

Bill passes House of Rep.

Finally, there seems to be some type of progress with the healthcare reform bill proposed by the president. At this time, the bill has just passed through the House of Representatives and is now being debated in the Senate. If it passes through the Senate then the reform bill will be carried in the country. So how did the bill pass through?
The House passed its health care bill late Saturday night by a 220-215 vote, with 39 Democrats in opposition and one Republican supporting it. The bill has many strong points as it relates to healthcare insurance. The bill has a benefits package that will enable insurance buyers to have $5000 of insurance for individuals who can not afford insurance. Also, the bill talks about a public plan that allows for a government sponsored program to give aid for people who cannot afford insurance. Also, there has been some changes into how the government is going to pay for the bill to take effect. The bill will cost 1 trillion dollars in total. Half will be paid by savings from Medicaid and Medicare and the other half of the money will be paid by citizens’ taxes. All in all, this bill seems to help a lot of people.
President Barack Obama gave a speech after the bill was passed by the House of Representatives. He wanted to congradulate the government for passing this milestone. We now can look forward to fine tuning the bill in order to pass through the Senate and become a law.
